Junior Cycle Curriculum

Athboy Community School offers the following core subjects in First Year: Irish, English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Religious Education, CSPE, SPHE, PE and ICT. From September 2014, all students will follow the new Junior Cycle curriculum in Maths and English.

First Year students will be offered taster modules in Art, Business, French, German, Home Economics, Metalwork, Science, Music, Technical Graphics and Woodwork. Students will then choose four optional subjects in addition to the core subjects above.
