Indoor Gaelic Football

A panel of twelve boys from First Year represented the school in an inaugural Indoor Gaelic Football tournament which was held in Trim GAA Club on Friday 27th April..  The game has been adapted to suit five aside games played in Sports Halls.  Scores are obtained by kicking or passing the ball through a hoop on each end wall.  Scores from outside the three point arc (as in Basketball) count for three points.  The total score for each team over all games determines the placings.  Each team gets ten free kicks at the beginning of the competition which also count towards their final total.  The boys played teams from Boyne Community School, Trim; St. Joseph’s, Drogheda and St. Finian’s, Mullingar.
