Despite it being Mid Term over 55 students dragged themselves out of bed this morning for the Back to the 80s rehearsal. Ably coached by their teachers things are coming together nicely, they have a further two days of rehearsals this week! Their commitment , energy and ability is to be highly commended. Please ensure you purchase your tickets this week, we expect a packed house each night as it promises to be the most fun, pre-Christmas event, in Athboy this year. Tickets are available from the office, either by phone (046 9487894) or by calling in this week. You might even get a sneak preview if you are lucky.

Last week as part of maths week a Rubix’s cube competition was held, well done to all students who got involved. Pictured are our two winners Cayde Quinn and Anton Babin. Cayde solved the rubix cube in just 58seconds winner the junior competition while Anton was able to complete the Rubix cube in an unbelievable 42seconds and won the senior competition. Congratulations to both Cayde and Anton!

Congratulations to two more of our maths week winners Luke Watson and Clodagh Cunningham. Luke was student who had to closest guess for the number of popcorn kernels in the bottle. There was a total of 3,695 kernels in the jar!
Clodagh was the winner of our clue a day competition figuring out that our number was 83.
Well done to all students who took part in our maths week competitions it was great to see so many students involved.

The Annual General Meeting of the Parents Association will take place in the school on Thursday 10th November at 7.00 p.m. All welcome.

Well done to the senior soccer team who had a fantastic victory over Beaufort College today. Goals from Joshua Kerr, Jamie Rafferty, Conor Laing and an OG after great work from Jamie Rafferty ensured a 4-3 victory. The team worked really hard for one another and showed great resolve to dig out a victory after conceding an early goal. The team play Coláiste De Lacy, Ashbourne in their next game. Well done to everyone.

Congratulations to the junior camogie girls who had another great win today. The girls showed great skill to secure a convincing win against Scoil Uí Mhuirí of Dunleer. Well done girls!

The Board of Management has added Smart Glasses with video/audio recording facility to the list of items in forbidden in school in Section 12. Last Thursday first year students competed in a Maths themed scavenger hunt at lunch. Well done to all who participated. A big congratulations to Sophie Bell, Laura Duffy, Jazmin Farkasova and Erin Melligan who were our overall winners.
