An Cuan ASD Classes

An Cuan (The Harbour) opened in 2011 when we moved into our new building with one class of Autistic students. This became two in 2014 and our students enjoyed the fabulous facilities in the An Cuan suite.

In September 2024, we opened our third special class, bringing to 18 our student cohort. We have six SNAs and three class tutors and a team of teachers who work with our students. Depending on the student, they may spend some time in an Cuan for classes or may join classmates in mainstream for classes. The transition happens when the student is ready.

An Cuan is at the heart of our school and the voice of students in An Cuan is represented formally on our Student Council by and elected member of An Cuan and informally in many different fora and teams across the school.
