Dia daoibh,
Our names are Lucy and Charlotte and we are the school captains. We went to Clonmellon N.S. and O’Growney N.S. respectively. Lucy is a passionate member of her local GAA club St. Paul’s/Delvin, where she began to practice her leadership skills on and off the pitch. She is also very enthusiastic about traditional Irish music and has been playing from a very young age competing in many Fleadhs along the way.
Charlotte is a keen reader and particularly enjoys murder mysteries. She’s been a lively part of both the local and school community including completing her silver gaisce award for which she spent time volunteering at the local nursing home. She also enjoys daily walks with her dog whilst listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
Towards the end of 3rd year we both applied to be prefects for the following year, and were successful. After a year of fulfilling our roles as prefects and getting involved in the school community, we were voted in by our teachers to be this year’s school captains. Our roles as school captains involve, speaking at events, being role models to other students and being the school representatives.
The school captains,
