Junk Kouture Finals

Huge congratulations to Transition Year students Isobel Canty, Savanagh Reilly and Erin Melligan who took part in the Junk Kouture finals in the Helix DCU yesterday. The girls displayed an excellent fashion design all created from recycled materials and put on a fantastic performance on stage (Isobel Canty as model).

The three girls worked on this design for over five months and all the hard work paid off by reaching the finals in Dublin. Although the girls did not progress to the next stage, watch this space, as there is still an opportunity to receive a golden ticket which would allow them to go through. This will be announced on social media after the St Patricks Weekend.

Art Teacher Mr. Kington who worked closely with all of the Junk Kouture entrants said, “I am so very proud of the achievements of all participants of Junk Kouture at Athboy Community School this year. Huge congratulations to the three girls for making it to the finals and representing our creativity and talents on stage.”
