Honour Roll for Second Trimester  – Pics

 
There was plenty of excitement in Athboy Community School recently when students were presented with certificates to recognise their achievement in making the School’s Honour Roll for the second trimester of the 2025-26 academic year.

 
As part of Athboy Community School’s Learning Code, students have been building up an Asset Portfolio since the beginning of the year. Assets are awarded to students by staff members for a whole variety of reasons such as ongoing hard work, oral contributions in class, acts of kindness, improvement in classwork or homework, promoting a positive school spirit, promoting sustainability, creativity, manners and respect, digital skills, sporting achievements, taking initiative, being good with their hands, extra-curricular activities as well as other talents, skills and achievements. 
 
Students can also earn Citations for more sustained or major achievements which required training, preparation and sustained effort by the student and also Superlatives which required a supreme ongoing effort and training and preparation over a more significant amount of time. The top 10% in each year group made the School’s Honour Roll and were presented with Certificates of Merit by their Year Head at assembly this week. 
 
In 1st Year, the winners were Victory Aigheiwi, Aaron Dolan, Ethan Eite McEnroe, Adam Brummell, Katie Dunne, Lucy Donnelly, J.J. Carberry, Zuzanna Predota, Jenny Bradley, Daniel Dempsey, Killian Donohoe, Erin Tobin, Roisin Gleeson, Daisy Duffy and Katarina Szboova.
 
In 2nd Year Victor Emmanouil Kypraios, Shauna Brady, Annie Mai Ludlow, Aine Meagher, Sheila Croal, Allie Anderson, Jack Canty, Brian Connor, Alexi Bell, Luan Scannell, Jacob Sweeney, Sarah Vaughan are the Honour Roll recipients. 
 
In 3rd Year, Lavine Corscadden, Ethan Toner, Tara Duignan, Noah Gorst-Smith, Ruby Gethin, Liam O’Brien, Eimear Casserly, Mylah Carolan, Aimee Ivory, Zahra McCole, Aaron Donohoe, Angela Modey, Kyle Findllay, Logan O’Shea-Dennison and Manuela Lunginus make the Honour Roll.
 
The T.Y. recipients were Shauna Revington, Savanagh Reilly, Sophie Malone, Niamh Colvin, Megan Broughill and Lucy Farrell.
 
In 5th Year the winners were Dylan Davis Tenanty, Miriam Murphy, Katelyn Priest, Patrick Naulty, Georgia Tobin, Ada Ogarek, Michael Galvin, Saoirse Meagher, Maria McCarthy, Josh McCole, Serena Lijo and Casey O’Sullivan Meehan. In LCA1, Lauren McElhinney and Leah Harmon made the Honour Roll. 
 
In 6th Year the recipients were Chloe Henry, Zofia Michalik, Taylor Hering, Charlotte Colgan, Shane Carroll, Billy Bowman, Emily O’Hanlon, Aimee Mulvey and Maya Namba Okello. In LCA2 the winners were Sarah Buckley-Doran and Sofie Tenanty.
 
Congratulations to all the students who made the Honour Roll. They will all be invited on a bowling trip courtesy of the school as a reward for their achievements and have been posted on the Honour Roll noticeboard in the school.  
 
The third trimester started before the Easter break and every student in the school now has the opportunity to continue building up their Asset Portfolio before this trimester ends on the last school day on the year on May 29th.
