A Window of Opportunity

Mr Kington’s 2nd Year art class designed stained glass windows exploring the theme of nature. Each student was inspired by famous designers such as Evie Hone. The aim of the project was to exhibit our skills and brighten up the school.

First, we chose our design for the stained-glass window through drawing. The drawing was then converted into an outline stencil and developed into a shaped pattern. Each shape was filled with a different colour to create the bright compositions.

As a group and individuals, we learnt a lot about the process of stained-glass design. We really enjoyed making our artwork and we would love to try it again in the future.
