Athboy C.S Bingo Night

On Thursday November 27th, the Parents Association in Athboy C.S organised a Bingo Night as a fundraiser to continue the school’s programme of replacing data projectors in classrooms with modern Smart TV’s. These will be of enormous benefit to teaching and learning in the schooland will be used to directly support the students’ educational experience and general wellbeing. 
The event saw a great turnout of well over 300 people,made up of students and their families, past pupils and past parents of the school, members of the local community of Athboy, and regular Bingo players from far and wide. 

The Grand prize on offer was €1,000 as well as the usual prizes for a complete line and panel and Lucky Number draws.Congratulations to Frances Tiernan, jackpot winner on the night. A very successful raffle was also held. Overall, well over €6,000 was raisedon the night which will go towards the purchase of the new Smart TV’s for classrooms.
