Back To Broadway

We are another week closer to Athboy C.S production of ‘Back to Broadway’, a medley of scenes from well known musicals which runs in the school for three nights from February 25th-27th. 

We will have over 130 students on stage during this two hour extravaganza featuring unforgettable songs from musicals like Grease, Les Miserables, Wicked, Six, Mathilda and The Little Mermaid. 

Rehearsals have been ongoing since late September and things are really hotting up now with the weeks ticking by. 

With professional lighting and sound, the school’s General Purpose Area will be turned, as usual, into a fitting auditorium.

We hope to profile one of the cast each week as the run approaches. First up is Transition year student Emeline Hood. 

“My name is Emeline Hood and I am playing the role of Sandy in the Grease section of this year’s school musical. I love acting, singing and dancing and cannot wait to be a part of all the action on stage. My favourite number in the show is “We go Together,” and I feel that all the effort put into this dance by everyone in the ensemble has really brought the choreography to life.”
