Back to Broadway – One Month to Go

Back to Broadway 

We are another week closer to Athboy C.S production of ‘Back to Broadway’, a medley of scenes from wellknown musicals which runs in the school for three nights from February 25th-27th. Tickets cost just €15 and will sell fast so to avoid disappointment, buy online or pick up from the front office, Ph. 046-9487894. 

We hope to profile one of the cast each week as the run approaches. This week it is first year student Neeah Mulvey 

“Hi, my name is Neeah. I’m in first year and I play the role of Matilda in the Matilda section of Back to Broadway. I’ve been doing musical theatre for about 7 years. My favourite song has to be ‘Naughty!’ I sing that with Jenny Bradley and Millie Robinson in this production and they are such good singers and the choreography goes with it so well! It is so much fun playing Matilda and I can’t wait for the show. 

Over 130 students will be on stage during this two hour extravaganza featuring unforgettable songs from musicals like Grease, Les Miserables, Wicked, Six, Mathilda and The Little Mermaid. 

Rehearsals have been ongoing since late September and things are really hotting up now with the weeks ticking by.  With professional lighting and sound, the school’s General Purpose Area will be turned, as usual, into a fitting auditorium.
