Athboy Community School had some very special visitors drop by today, as three past pupils Liam Kelleher, Eoin Kelleher and Dylan Doherty brought in the Peter McDermott Cup – the Meath Junior Football Championship trophy won by Clann na nGael at the weekend. The trio who were part of the victorious team brought the cup home today to their old school much to the delight of the vast welcoming committee made up of players from every Gaelic games panel in the school. Clann na nGael beat St Vincent’s by two points at Pairc Tailteann on Saturday. The school would like to congratulate the many past-pupils on the championship winning panel and thank Liam, Eoin and Dylan for bringing the silverware in to the students of the school.
