It’s ONE week to go to Athboy C.S presentation of ‘Back to Broadway’, a medley of scenes from well-known musicals which runs in the school for three nights from February 25th-27th. Tickets cost just €15 and will sell fast so to avoid disappointment, buy online or pick up from the front office, Ph. 046-9487894. 

We hope to profile some of the cast each week as the run approaches. This week it is 3rd Year student Chloe Doherty who is in ‘The Little Mermaid’ section of the show.
 

“Hi, my name is Chloe Doherty. I am playing the role of Ariel from ‘The Little Mermaid’ in this year’s musical. I have been doing musical theatre for 9 years and I love dancing and singing. I am thrilled to be part of the show because I’m really excited for everyone to see the dedication and effort I have put into my performance.  My favorite number in the show is ‘Part of Your World’. 

Over 130 students will be on stage during this two hour extravaganza featuring unforgettable songs from musicals like Grease, Les Miserables, Wicked, Six, Mathilda and The Little Mermaid. 

Rehearsals have been ongoing since late September and things are really heating up as the weeks have ticked by. With professional lighting and sound, the school’s General Purpose Area will be turned, as usual, into a fitting auditorium. Make sure to pick up your tickets for what promises to be a great night’s entertainment!
