Back To Broadway – The Big Week Has Arrived!!!- Pics

Athboy C.S presents ‘Back to Broadway’, a medley of scenes from well-known musicals which runs in the school for three nights THIS WEEK from February 25th-27th. The last of the tickets cost just €15 and have been selling fast so to avoid disappointment, buy online or pick up from the front office, Ph. 046-9487894.

We have profiled some of the cast each week as the run approached. This week it is the turn of 5th Year student Ada Ogarek who appears in both the ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’ sections of the play.

“Hi, my name is Ada. I am in the ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Les Miserables’ segments of the musical. I sing two songs, ‘Master of the House’ from ‘Les Miserables’, and ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls’ from ‘The Little Mermaid’. This is not my first time on stage as I have performed in a choir in the past, but this is my first time to be in a musical and I am really looking forward to it.

Over 130 students will be on stage this week during this two hour extravaganza featuring unforgettable songs from musicals like Grease, Les Miserables, Wicked, Six, Mathilda and The Little Mermaid. Costumes have arrived, the sets are up and rehearsals have been ongoing since late September and continue over the coming days. With professional lighting and sound, the school’s General Purpose Area will be turned, as usual, into a fitting auditorium. Make sure to pick up your tickets for what promises to be a great night’s entertainment!
