Honour Roll Bowling Trip- Pics

Athboy C.S. Honour Roll students for Semester 2 celebrated their hard work with a day out in Blanchardstown️️ today ( April 16th).

The day started with Bowling in the Leisureplex where the students enjoyed showing off their skills and sending pins flying! There were a few pool sharks on display too as the students competed to be the cue-master on the day. The group was then given time for a bit of lunch and shopping in Blanchardstown Centre afterwards. A great day was had by all.

A big thank you to Miss Gallagher who organised and led the trip, and the staff who accompanied the group; Miss Halligan, Mr Jonas Tremschnig and SNA Ms. Blathnaid Keely.

As part of Athboy Community School’s Learning Code, students have been building up an Asset Portfolio since the beginning of the year. Assets are awarded to students by staff members for a whole variety of reasons such as ongoing hard work, oral contributions in class, acts of kindness, improvement in classwork or homework, promoting a positive school spirit, promoting sustainability, creativity, manners and respect, digital skills, sporting achievements, taking initiative, being good with their hands, extra-curricular activities as well as other talents, skills and achievements.  Students can also earn Citations for more sustained or major achievements which required training, preparation and sustained effort by the student and also Superlatives which required a supreme ongoing effort and training and preparation over a more significant amount of time. The top 10% in each year group make the School’s Honour Roll for each trimester.

Congratulations again to all of the Honour Roll students for semester two.
