There was plenty of excitement in Athboy Community School recently when students were presented with certificates to recognise their achievement in making the School’s Honour Roll for the second trimester of the 2025-26 academic year.
As part of Athboy Community School’s Learning Code, students have been building up an Asset Portfolio since the beginning of the year. Assets are awarded to students by staff members for a whole variety of reasons such as ongoing hard work, oral contributions in class, acts of kindness, improvement in classwork or homework, promoting a positive school spirit, promoting sustainability, creativity, manners and respect, digital skills, sporting achievements, taking initiative, being good with their hands, extra-curricular activities as well as other talents, skills and achievements.
Students can also earn Citations for more sustained or major achievements which required training, preparation and sustained effort by the student and also Superlatives which required a supreme ongoing effort and training and preparation over a more significant amount of time.
