North Leinster Athletics Success today

We are delighted to report Athboy CS picked up four North Leinster medals today in a competition where standards were very high. 

 

One in the Senior Boys 6kg Hammer for Nick Keogh (5th Year) , two for Sheila Croal ( 1st Year )  in the Junior Girls Hammer and Minor Girls shot Put and 1 medal for Pearl Keogh (1st Year) in the Minor Girls High Jump. 

 

Caoimhe O’Brien (1st year)  ran a very strong 1100m race  but was just outside the qualifying range. She should be very proud of herself. That age is particularly challenging.

 

Nick, Sheila & Pearl will all progress to Leinsters on 12th & 13th May for the next phase of the competition. Many thanks to Avila Keogh for supporting our athletes today.
