Athboy C.S Sponsored Run

Athboy Community School will hold a Sponsored Run on October 9th in order to raise funds to support teaching and learning by updating existing technology in the school. 

Sponsorship cards will be distributed out to everyone in the school with a minimum card return of 10 euro. There will be prizes for the individual who raises the most money as well as the home class who raise the most.  

The course will be 5km long and there will be stewards along the way to ensure the smooth running of the event. As it is a fully outdoor event, students are advised to dress accordingly. There will be a tuck shop on the day as well as hot chocolate on sale. 

Please encourage your child to participate fully in this fundraiser. To date we have been able to replace 18 data projectors in classroom with modern Smart TV’s which have been of enormous benefit to teaching and learning in the school. We still have a way to go though as there are many more technological improvements we would like to make. All the money raised will be used to directly support your child’s educational experience and general wellbeing through updating the audio-visual equipment in all classrooms.
