Student Council Executive Officers

On Tuesday September 30th the Student Council elected their Executive Officers. After the process of nominations closed, the students voted for Erin Melligan (TY) as their Chairperson and Nenyasha Maticha (3rd year) as the Deputy Chairperson. Savanagh Reilly (TY) was elected as Treasurer with Liam Fenton (6th year) as Deputy Treasurer. Walter Duffy (3rd year) was electedas Secretary with Chloe Doherty (3rd year) as Deputy Secretary. Isobel Canty (TY) was elected Public Relations Officer (PRO) with Yeva Mariash (3rd year) as Deputy Public Relations Officer (PRO).  

As Chairperson, Erin Melligan will lead the Student Council meetings and work with the Secretary to prepare the agenda. The Chairperson also sign the minutes of the meeting once approved and has the deciding vote if there is a tie. The Chairperson may also represent the Council in meetings with school management. 

Nenyasha Maticha as the Deputy Chairperson will help the Chairperson and take over their role if the Chairperson is absent from a meeting. 

The Secretary, Walter Duffy will prepare the meeting agenda with the Chairperson and share it with the Council members. He also takes notes during meetings, records decisions made and keeps the minutes. 

As the Deputy Secretary, Chloe Doherty will support the Secretary and takes over their duties when the Secretary is not present. 

Savanagh Reilly as theTreasurer, manages the Council’s funds, keeps track of any income or spending, and gives a financial report at the end of the school year. She will be assisted by the Deputy Treasurer, Liam Fenton. 

The Public Relations Officer (PRO), Isobel Canty,is responsible for communication between the Council and the student body. She will also help keep teachers, parents, and school management informed about student issues and Council activities. She will be assisted by the Deputy PRO, Yeva Mariash.
