First Year Boys Gaelic Football

On Friday, 21st November, our first years kicked off their season as Athboy C.S. travelled to Rathcline GAA in Clonbonny, Longford to take on Lanesboro Community College.

A strong first half saw Athboy take control with an impressive 5–3 to 2–5 lead but Lanesboro fought back hard in the second half, outscoring Athboy 2–7 to 1–1 leaving a final score of Lanesboro 4-12 Athboy 6-4. A great effort from our first years in their opening game with plenty of positives to build on!
