By Saoirse Meagher, 5th Year
The 5thYear LCVP classes decided that this Christmas they wanted to help the local community by joining up with St Vincent de Paul, Athboy, for their “Annual Appeal” to collect donations of Christmas Bags filled with love and compassion for children in need in the locality this holiday season.
SVP’s Annual Appeal supports struggling families and individuals who are concerned about how they will provide for Christmas this year and appreciate all donations and contributions.
Ms. Quinn’s and Ms. Mooney’s LCVP classes organised the collection of Christmas bags for childrenaged 0-14 years old. A total of 40 Christmas bags were collected, each one packed to the brim, and were gratefully received by Frances Walsh of St Vincent de Paul, Athboy. Each Christmas bagcollected was filled withstationery, toiletries, warm clothing and small trinkets, allof which will be much appreciated by the children this Christmas.
The LCVP classes would like to thank all who took time to contribute and donate items for the Christmas bags.
