There was more great excitement today in the school’s General Purpose Area as part of Student Leadership Week as the 1st Years had their Democratic Lottery to choose their representatives on the Student Council.
All students were briefed on the work of the Student Council and invited to put their names forward to represent their peers.
A democratic lottery took place to choose those who are to be on the Student Council. There was huge interest from so many in the year but in the end, congratulations go to Mieke Scannell (Class Burren), Cathal Nesbitt (Class Cashel), Tom Darcy (Class Newgrange), Mason Bradley (Class Skelling), Tayeba Miah (Class Tara) and Krsitupas Kriksciunas (Class Shannon) who emerged as those reps.
The 5th Year and 6th Year elections also took place today, but we will withhold those results for the moment so the winners can be unveiled first at their assembly in the coming week!
The 3rd Year will have their Democratic Lottery on Monday morning at assembly, as will the LCA classes. Transition Year Student Council elections will take place after Monday’s assembly.
